Kaden Shea Mulnick of Olathe, KS, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at home in his mother's arms, from heart failure after chronic complications that followed his heart surgeries. Kaden's story has been told to many that have followed his journey on CarePages. The entry from June 19, 2010 summarizes our Kaden: Kaden's likes - pushing buttons on electronics (DVD player, computer, cell phones); laughing at Elmo and Cookie Monster; watching the microwave door open and close followed by the sounds of the buttons being pushed; riding in the wagon to the playground to swing; bath time and all the "free water" access; sitting on Grandpa Rick's lap which includes a variety of activities; watching reflections of movies in plastic picture holders; being a little helper - handing you a pen, hairbrush, or something random he thinks you might need, closing doors for you such as refrigerator, cabinet, dryer, gate, and house doors, turning off the light for you and sometimes a few more "offs" and "ons" just for fun; riding in the car as long as the car never stops at lights, signs, pedestrians; seeing the bus round the corner and knowing it is his ride; 'he likes to move it move it' as well as 'hot dog hot dog hot diggity dog'; the FBI Warning before a movie is truly entertaining; he seems fascinated watching the blow dryer in action; the feel of a fresh blanket on his lips; he takes off his left sock and only wears his right, he thinks it is funny to remove his leg from his pants or his foot from his shoe when you try to help put them on; and what really gets him laughing is a barking dog. What we like about Kaden - His contagious smile, laugh, kisses, holding his hand; watching his pride when he knows he helped you with a task; his snoop dog style of watching your every move; his bravery for having to endure his many medical challenges; his unique personality that cannot be matched by anyone; his interest in wanting to be by your side; his mastery of timing on being the funny guy; his big brown eyes which are very telling; his large round cheeks that you cannot help but kiss; his eyelashes which seem impossibly long; his overdramatic nose turn when he is presented something he doesn't want; and the many life lessons he has taught to those who know him... We are honored to have had Kaden in our lives. We will always love you Kaden! Kaden is survived by his parents, Phill and Tricia Mulnick, of Olathe, KS; by his grandparents, Rick Gould and Bev Timmons, of Overland Park, KS, Jesse Bera and Sheri Mulnick of Bradenton, FL, Rod and Patty Barry of Tacoma, WA; and his loving nurse, Pat Chester of Ottawa, KS.
