WILLIAM KIMBERLY "KIM" WEST
Kim West, 61, of Gig Harbor, Washington passed away June 23 as a result of a stroke suffered a few days earlier. Kim was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri and attended MU and UMKC. He retired as a Special Agent with the FBI in 2006. Kim enjoyed an active lifestyle as a pilot, motorcyclist, sports car collector, boater and avidly hiked in Estes Park, Colorado and on Mt. Rainier. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Kenneth and Margaret West, and is survived by his life partner, Joni Curtis, and four siblings, Mike (Joyce), Mimi (John), Randy and Torre (Mike). His family expresses its gratitude to the Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit at the KU Medical Center for its dedicated care and support in their time of loss. In accordance with his wishes, Kim was cremated. A celebration of his life will be observed at St. Thomas More Church, 11822 Holmes Road, at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 28.
